April 5, 2016 (Hurst, TX)  In a strong show of unprecedented support, on Thursday the Cobern Campaign for Hurst City Council will report 89 individual donations.  The financial report will display donations large and small indicating Cobern’s broad support from the whole community.  This is an unparalleled showing of financial support for a first time candidate in Hurst.

Speaking about the show of support Cobern said “I am honored that so many individuals have chosen to financially support my candidacy.  This strong support will allow me to take my message of optimism and a bright future to expand economic growth, home ownership opportunities and ways to reduce water costs with every citizen in Hurst.  I am working hard to ensure our support is growing every day and look forward to victory in May.”

Growing up while her father, Si Robertson (star on the hit TV series Duck Dynasty), served in the Army, Cobern has lived and traveled all over the globe.  She and her family understand the great quality of life Hurst offers residents.  She believes Hurst is the best place to live because it is such an amazing community in the middle of the Metroplex.

Cobern has served in a number of volunteer board positions for the City of Hurst.  She is currently an alternate member on the Library Board and she has also served as a voting member on the Neighborhood & Community Advisory Committee.  Last year, she participated in the Hurst 101 program, which is a weekly class designed to help residents understand the inner workings of the City.  She was elected Valedictorian by her classmates.

Cobern holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas A&M University and completed her graduate work in Secondary Education at the University of North Texas.  She is a high school teacher and currently teaches US History.  She and her husband Kyle, an L.D. Bell graduate, have lived in Hurst for 16 years and have four boys who attend HEB ISD Schools.  The Cobern family attends Good Shepherd Church where Trasa serves in several ministries.  More information can be found on the web at www.TrasaRobertsonCobern.com.
