Dear Tarrant County friends,
It has been a busy 3 weeks since primary election day, and we've been wrapping up all of the campaign activity. Before March ends, I wanted to share my political focus now through the November election and invite you to join me, as well.
My initial focus will be on continuing to expand our GOP Outreach in Tarrant County. As the Tarrant County Republican Party Outreach Chair, I know that we need to grow the party more now than ever. Conservative values are right for Americans, as we see problems like budgets out of control, property taxes rising, social issues coming needlessly to violence, and a country turning away from its historical and spiritual underpinnings.
We need to stand strong now more than ever, but we need to reach out our hands at the same time and invite those who share our values to join with us. Last weekend particularly showcased this need, as the Democrats demonstrated how they will pull heartstrings using our country's children, without offering true solutions. If any group is using fear right now, it is the left, and we must be prepared to offer solid messages that counter pure emotion.
In helping to spread the message on why conservative values and principles make life better, I am going to continue to post stories for you to read and share with others, as so many of you did during the primary season. I'll share my perspectives as a U.S. History teacher, as a Christian, and most of all as a mother focused on raising four boys to become Godly men and great citizens for our nation. I will also take an active part in support our party's Victory 2018 activity. As the only urban county that is still a Republican stronghold we must not only maintain that strength, but also lead in growing our party's strength and sharing how our conservative values make life better for everyone.

Pearl Harbor 78th Anniversary
Today is a special day, not just for the memory of the 78th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, but for what that event can show us about belonging. For on this day, December 7th, 2019, on the floor of the harbor, the remains of the U.S.S. Arizona will be disturbed for the last time.
Service
As my father served in the Army, I have lived and traveled all over the globe. I could live and work anywhere, but I choose Tarrant County. It is an amazing community, with wonderful friends, incredible programs and a great location. Right now things are really good, but we are looking at a situation in the future where Hurst will be 100% built out.
